Jefferson Introducing the Elkins Math and Science Discussion Board!
The Discussion Board is located at elkinsmathandscience.boardhost.com. What is this discussion board?
Everyone will be required to post 10 problems/questions AND 10 solutions! Yes, it seems like a lot, but if you do 1-2 a day, it's not too hard! Plus, you can use problems/questions from any of your tests that you've done. When posting problems, you need to click into the topic that you're submitting the problem for, then click "New Topic" to start a new thread. Once you've done that, you can post a picture of the problem, as well as a short description of what the problem is about or where it's from. Use a title for the post that well-summarizes the problem; ie. if the problem is from Number Sense about GCF, put a title as "GCF Problem." To submit solutions, just reply directly under the problem! Make sure that your solutions are detailed and easy-to-follow, so if you need to write on paper, and then take a picture of what you've written to submit onto the forum, that's alright too! If your account name doesn't have your actual name in it, that's alright, but when you post, just make sure to say who you are at the very end of the post. Let me know if you have any questions! Jefferson We will be having NS and CA practice on Monday, 12/3. Please bring your VM #2 tests, as we will be going over them. We'll also pass back your Wisdom HS tests.
Make sure to look over and review the tests BEFORE you come to the meeting, and bring the questions that you have to the meeting! See you soon! Jefferson Congratulation to everyone!
We won second place sweepstakes overall at the Wisdom HS Tournament! Your test papers will be returned to you during practice this week (12/3 and 12/6) as well as your trophies if you won one. Click to access the photos from Wisdom HS. Once again, congratulations to all! Take this as an experience and a motivation to get better!!! Jefferson |
